Alamtri (ADRO) Approves $500 Million Dividend, Yield Reaches 12%

JAKARTA, investortrust.id – Shareholders of PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), a major Indonesian coal mining company, have approved a $500 million cash dividend payout, representing 36.23% of its 2024 net profit.
The decision was made during the company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) held online from 3:06 p.m. to 5:19 p.m. local time on Monday, June 2, 2025, at The St. Regis Jakarta.
Alamtri posted a net profit of $1.38 billion (Rp 22.29 trillion) for the 2024 fiscal year. The approved dividend includes an interim dividend of $200 million (Rp 106 per share), already paid on January 15, 2025, and a final dividend of $300 million (Rp 158 per share) scheduled for distribution in the coming weeks.
Based on Monday’s closing price of Rp 2,130 per share, the dividend implies a yield of approximately 12%, a substantial return for investors. The remaining $880 million or 63.77% of 2024 net income will be retained as earnings.

Rp 4 Trillion Share Buyback Approved
The RUPST also approved a share buyback program in line with Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regulation No. 29/2023, authorizing the company to repurchase up to Rp 4 trillion worth of shares.
In addition, shareholders approved an amendment to Article 4 paragraph (2) of Alamtri’s Articles of Association, reducing the company’s issued and paid-up capital following the cancellation of 1,368,976,500 treasury shares from the 2024 buyback. Post-reduction, the company’s total issued and paid-up capital stands at 29,389,689,400 shares with a nominal value of Rp 2.93 trillion.
