Prabowo Arrives in Malaysia for ASEAN Summit Focused on Inclusivity and Sustainability

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Malaysia on Sunday evening to participate in the 46th ASEAN Summit, which will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) under the theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability.”
The Indonesian presidential aircraft touched down at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) Subang Airbase at around 7:20 p.m. local time on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
Upon arrival, Prabowo was welcomed by Malaysian Minister of Agriculture and Food Security YB Datuk Seri Haji Mohammad bin Sabu, a representative from the Prime Minister’s Office, Chief of Ceremony Dato’ Rozainor, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indonesian Embassy Rossy Verona, and Defense Attaché Brigadier General Winarno. An honor guard from the Malaysian Armed Forces also received the president and his delegation at the airbase.
From the airport, Prabowo proceeded directly to the hotel where he will stay during the summit.
On Monday, May 26, Prabowo is scheduled to attend several key sessions of the ASEAN Summit, including the signing ceremony for the “Kuala Lumpur Declaration of ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future.” He is also expected to participate in additional conference activities and hold bilateral meetings with leaders from partner nations.
This year’s summit highlights ASEAN’s commitment to inclusive growth and long-term sustainability. Prabowo’s presence affirms Indonesia’s consistent role as a proactive and central actor in shaping regional diplomacy.
